At Dell Technologies World 2025, industry leaders painted a vivid picture of an AI landscape undergoing explosive transformation. Michael Dell, chairman and CEO of Dell Technologies, opened the keynote by framing the stakes: Worldwide AI infrastructure spending could reach $3–4 trillion by 2030, while token consumption is projected to surge by an astounding 3,400% in the same period. “There is a massive AI investment boom already underway, and a productivity boom is beginning,” Dell stated. “The rate of change has gone parabolic, and it’s not slowing down.”

This sentiment was echoed by NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang, who took the stage to reveal a suite of new hardware and software platforms designed to meet the soaring demand. “We’ve now arrived at the era of useful AI,” Huang declared. “That’s the reason why demand is going parabolic, utterly parabolic. What took months now takes weeks. What took weeks now takes days. And what takes days now takes hours. It’s a big deal in productivity, but a gigantic leap in computation requirements.”

A New AI Factory for the Agentic Era

The core message from both leaders is clear: Enterprise AI has moved beyond pilots into agentic AI and inference deployments at scale. The platform powering this transition is the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA, which now supports frontier models and autonomous agents running securely behind the enterprise perimeter. Key to this is the introduction of the Dell PowerEdge XE9812, built on the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 architecture. This system delivers up to 10× lower cost-per-token than NVIDIA Blackwell for massive-scale agentic AI inferencing.

Joining the XE9812 are the PowerEdge XE9880L, XE9885L, and XE9882L servers—the first Dell systems built on NVIDIA HGX Rubin NVL8. These servers support up to 144 GPUs per rack with 100% direct liquid-cooled compute nodes and deliver up to 10× the performance of HGX B200 systems. For networking, Dell introduced the new Dell PowerSwitch portfolio featuring NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand with liquid-cooled, co-packaged optics and NVIDIA Spectrum-6 Ethernet.

Fully Integrated Systems: Dell PowerRack

Dell is also launching Dell PowerRack, a fully integrated system where compute, networking, and storage are engineered as one. With thermal design, power management, and software optimization built from the ground up, PowerRack accelerates AI and high-performance computing workloads at enterprise scale—without the integration overhead of component assembly.

NVIDIA Vera CPUs Power Agentic AI

On the CPU side, the Dell PowerEdge M9822 and R9822 servers bring NVIDIA Vera CPUs to the enterprise AI factory. Purpose-built for agentic AI, Vera runs data pipelines, analytics, sandboxed tools, and code workloads where each step waits on the last. Agent sandboxes run 50% faster on Vera than traditional CPUs, while enterprise data queries are up to 3× faster with the Vera CPU.

Cost Efficiency and Production Scale

Huang highlighted that agentic AI inference on the new Vera Rubin NVL72 achieves one-tenth the cost per token compared to previous architectures. This cost reduction is critical as enterprises like Lilly, Samsung, and Honeywell (among 5,000 others) run AI workloads on Dell AI Factories with NVIDIA, turning ambition into production at scale. “We’re seeing a massive shift from experimentation to deployment,” Huang added.

The keynote underscored that the era of useful AI has arrived. With token consumption projected to grow exponentially and infrastructure investment surging, the combination of Dell’s integrated systems and NVIDIA’s accelerated computing creates a platform ready for the agentic era. Dell summarized the moment: “The rate of change has gone parabolic, and it’s not slowing down.” For enterprises, the message is clear: the AI factory is no longer a future concept—it’s here, and it’s scaling fast.
